Two ways to build

New build or retrofit.

New build

Start with the right components. Build to the right specification.

A new build starts from individual components selected through an ASUBURE fitting, an existing fitting or build specification, or a clearly defined customer request.

Wedge and putter builds are not currently offered.

Retrofit

Keep what works. Replace what doesn’t.

Not every fitting should result in replacing the complete club.

When evaluation shows that an existing major component remains suitable — for example, the head performs correctly but the shaft does not — a retrofit allows that component to be retained while the club is rebuilt around the required specification.

A fitting doesn’t have to end with new clubs. It should end with the right decision.

Retrofit

More than a component swap.

A proper retrofit requires additional preparation before the new build can begin.

The existing club must first be carefully disassembled. Components intended for reuse are recovered, cleaned, inspected and prepared. Components being replaced may also need to be preserved where practical.

Only after that preparation does the normal build process begin using the retained and replacement components.

Because a retrofit includes disassembly and component preparation in addition to the normal build process, the service labour may be higher than for an equivalent new build.

How a build begins

Three ways to start.

Route 01

From an ASUBURE fitting

The fitting identifies the recommended components and specifications.

Route 02

From an existing fitting or build specification

ASUBURE can build from a sufficiently detailed external fitting or build specification.

Route 03

With your own components

Customer-supplied heads, shafts, grips, adapters, ferrules and other compatible components are welcome, subject to inspection and suitability.

The sequence below applies to a new build. A retrofit follows the longer retrofit process above, which adds disassembly and component recovery before this stage begins.

Not every listed measurement applies to every club or every build.

A set is evaluated as a system — not as isolated clubs.

Final quality control

Measured. Built. Verified.

The completed club or set is checked against the intended specification before collection.

Assembly finishes the club. Verification finishes the build.

Component policy

Components are part of the build — not the business model.

ASUBURE is not a standalone component store.

Components may be sourced as part of a build when required, and customers are also welcome to provide their own compatible components, subject to inspection and suitability.

Testing & collection

Test the result.

Where appropriate, completed equipment may be tested on the ASUBURE simulator before collection or independently at the range.

Quotation

Every build is quoted according to the required components, specification and work involved.

Retrofit is quoted individually because the work required for disassembly, component recovery, preparation and rebuilding varies by project.

Warranty

Workmanship-related defects are covered by ASUBURE as applicable.

Manufacturer or component defects remain subject to the relevant manufacturer’s terms.

Customer-supplied used components remain subject to their existing condition and are not warranted by ASUBURE against pre-existing wear or component failure.
