Johan’s interest in equipment developed beyond simply finding different clubs to play. The focus became understanding why clubs behave differently and how their specifications relate to the golfer and to the progression of a complete set.
That interest developed into formal clubmaking training, hands-on building and fitting experience, and continued learning from experienced professionals within the industry.
The work remains personal: the person who evaluates the equipment is also responsible for the recommendation and the workshop execution.
Why ASUBURE exists
Better decisions begin with understanding.
Existing equipment should be understood before replacement is recommended. Specifications should be measured before they are changed, and completed work should be verified.
Fitting and clubmaking are connected by that same responsibility: establish the evidence, define what should happen, and carry the decision through to the equipment.

The name
Asubure is a small coastal community beside Tiraya in Falcón, Venezuela, where Johan grew up and has his home. The origin belongs to the name; the work defines the brand.

Formal training
Master Golf Club Building — Mitchell Golf Equipment, Michigan, USA
Hands-on training in professional club building, repair and equipment preparation, together with club-performance measurement and introductory fitting.
Ongoing development
Continued practice
Continued development includes fitting workshops and hands-on shadowing with experienced international club fitters, including Eric Chong of Impact Golf in Malaysia. This complements formal technical training with observation of real fitting decisions, equipment evaluation and build practices in an established fitting environment.
Independent by design
The equipment decision comes after the evidence.
ASUBURE is independently operated and is not built around selling one manufacturer’s equipment. The appropriate outcome may be the equipment already in the bag or work that changes only what is necessary.
Where equipment is not the primary limitation, professional golf instruction may be the more appropriate next step before making an equipment change. Instruction is not part of what ASUBURE offers.
